The Rose and the Jasmine
A proud red rose with beauty grand,
Boasted proudly across the land.
“Everyone loves my lovely face,
I am the flower of beauty and grace.”
The Jasmine spoke with a fragrant air,
“Dear Rose, your beauty is truly rare.
Though I am small, my scent is sweet,
I bring joy to everyone I meet.”
The Rose felt shame for her arrogance,
And thought about her pride at once.
“Beauty and fragrance are gifts from nature,
We must be humble in every feature.”
The Rose gave up her pride that day,
And learned a lesson on the way.
She became Jasmine’s friend with delight,
And lived with kindness, peaceful and bright.
Moral: Humility and kindness are greater than beauty.
