The story begins with Kintan, a dedicated technocrat businessman, who has a passion for travel and is always seeking both money and fame. After returning from a tour in Brazil, he decides to visit India, feeling that it is the right place for him at this time. His journey from Toronto to Mumbai is exhausting, and he experiences jetlag and discomfort during the flight. Back in Mumbai, Kintan arrives at his family’s lavish villa, Jannat, which has been well-maintained by Meera, the beautiful housemaid and daughter of the long-serving watchman. Kintan’s father, Mukulrai, had passed away in a mysterious accident three years prior, and Kintan's return is significant for the family. The villa is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers, creating a picturesque setting. As Kintan settles back into life in Mumbai, he has a busy schedule ahead of him, with important meetings lined up, including one with Mr. Nambod to discuss a significant business deal. While Kintan is nostalgic about the rainy weather, he is also burdened by the responsibilities that await him. The narrative hints at the underlying challenges and connections Kintan will face in both his personal and professional life as he endeavors to honor his father's legacy.
