The story follows Tarun, who arrives at Bangalore airport and eagerly tries to contact his girlfriend, Preeti. However, he faces repeated failures when trying to call her cell and residence numbers, leading to frustration. He wishes he had enabled roaming on his phone, which he had deemed a luxury. Despite being busy with work meetings and a nagging client, his mind is preoccupied with thoughts of Preeti. Throughout the day, he searches for STD booths to call her but has no success. Later, he returns to his hotel and attempts to call Preeti again, only to be met with the same issues. He eventually calls his parents to let them know he arrived safely. During a conversation with his mother, he learns that Preeti had visited their home seeking help with her project submission, which surprises and intrigues him. The story captures Tarun's anxiety over not being able to reach Preeti and his longing to reunite with her.
