Animesh, an obedient and disciplined eighth grader, was deeply influenced by his father's work ethic, which emphasized hard work as the key to success. As winter set in November, Animesh focused on preparing for his upcoming annual exams in December. His mother entrusted him with ₹2000 meant for his uncle, a farmer struggling due to poor rainfall, to buy fertilizer. While studying, Animesh accidentally misplaced the money, failing to notice when the housemaid, Rukmani, came and went. When his uncle arrived, Animesh was shocked to realize the money was missing. Despite his parents' efforts to find it, the ₹2000 could not be located, leading his father to cover the amount from his own pocket to help the uncle. Rukmani, the maid, was a poor, elderly woman with a disheveled appearance and an addiction to tobacco, which made her unpleasant to be around. Throughout this ordeal, Animesh's honesty and dedication to his studies remained evident, showcasing his character amidst the challenges he faced.
