રાંધણ છઠ્ઠ નું નામ લઇએ, ત્યાં તો બધાના ઘરમાંથી તેલની સુગંધ આવવા માંડે. ઘરે ઘરે તાવડો ચડાવ્યો હોય. જીરા પુરી, ચકરી, સાતપડવાળી પુરી, સક્કરપારા એ ય પાછા ખારા ને મીઠા બે-બે વેરાયટીના, ચેવડો, ચવાણું, તીખા ગાંઠિયા, સેવ આટલું તો હોય જ. સાથે સાથે ઘરમાં જો બા-બાપા હોય તો મીઠી પુરી ને મીઠા થેપલા પણ બને. દાંત ના હોય એટલે તેમને ખાવામાં સહેલા પડે. આટલા ઉપર મોહનથાળ પાછો લટકા નો. મોટો તાવડો અને મોટો જારો ૨ દિવસ પહેલા ઘસી ઘસીને સાફ કરી લીધા હોય. તેલના ડબ્બા, ચણાનો લોટ, મેંદાનો લોટ, ઘી, ગોળ, ખાંડ વગેરે ઓસરીન
