પ્રકરણ ૨ :મુરુગન એક સિદ્ધહસ્ત ઋષિ હતા, કે જેઓ વર્ષોથી નિયમિત રીતે તપ, સાધના અને અનુષ્ઠાનો કરતાં રહેતા. જેનાં ફળ સ્વરૂપે તેમને કેટલીક નાનીમોટી સિદ્ધિઓ પણ પ્રાપ્ત થઇ હતી. એમાં વળી બૃહસ્પતિદેવ પાસેથી એક વિશિષ્ટ સિદ્ધિ પણ પ્રાપ્ત હતી, જે મુજબ તેઓ બે મૃત વ્યક્તિઓ શરીરમાં પ્રાણ ફૂંકી શકે તેમ હતાં. પણ આ એક અપૂર્ણ સિદ્ધિ હતી, એટલે એક વ્યક્તિને જીવંત કરી શકવા સુધી તો બધું સલામત રહે, પરંતુ વધુ એક વ્યક્તિના શરીરમાં જીવ રોપવાની કિંમત રૂપે તેમણે પોતાનો જીવ આપવો પડશે, એવી ચેતવણી પણ જોડે મળેલી. આમ એ એક અધૂરી સિદ્ધિ હતી,જો કે આની પૂર્ણતા માટે તેમને કોઈ ઉતાવળ
