Tailor and the healer(A moral mini story)By Vamanacharya Somanur village is surrounded by five villages named Kanakanhalli, Mudduhalli, Devipur, Hanumgiri and Sanganuru. All these villages are within two to four kilometres distance. Somanur is located in a central place having all the facilities like railway, bus, school and college etc.  A school dropout young man Jayanna became a famous tailor in Somanur for his exceptional tailoring skills with his magical thread and needle creating garments that shine like the sun. His cousin, Manikantha, also a tailor sabotages the work of Jayanna due to professional rivalry. Jayanna is tired of the endless problems created by Mani.One day in the morning Jayanna was taking a nap beneath the banyan tree. As he dozed off, he had a sweet dream. When he woke up, he realised that that day being a Tuesday, a weekly market day in Somanur village. He went to the market to sell garments and saw a beautiful girl buying fabric or herbs.  Postman  Mahadev introduces Amrita  to Jayanna. She continued ancestral profession of healing diseases. She did her middle school education in Somanur.Jayanna lost his presence of mind to see her beauty and failed to notice the big stone ahead and fell down getting leg injury. The blood was flowing continuously. Amrita treated him by applying herbal oil and bandages on the injured part and told him not  to worry.  Jayanna was feeling little relief and expressed thanks to her. They became friends in the first meeting itself. Their meetings continued on every market day and  village festivals.Surprisingly, one day Jayanna met Amrita in the Aum Shakti  library equipped with ancient and rare books on herbs and medicinal benefits of plants. Both exchanged pleasantries. The owner of the library Prabhu buys garments for himself and for his family from Jayanna. Amrita visits the library to borrow rare books to read. The library has become a meeting point for them. This sequence of meetings allows their relationship to grow. As she could provide the tailor Jayanna fabric threads with magical touch, which he could create healing garments. Their combined skills impressed the villagers. Soon the popularity of Jayanna and Amrita spread to surrounding villages.The couple  spent more time together, and they fell in love. Their love blossomed and the village prospered. Despite her father Muniratna's objections, she stood by Jayanna's side and they married. With his wife's support, Jayanna found strength to fight with his cousin Manikantha. Finally, Mani was shunted out from the village  for five years for his misdeeds as a punishment. The tailoring business of Jayanna and healing business of Amrita flourished beyond expectations. Their reputation grew, people from distant places started coming to get their clothes stitched and cure their diseases. Jayanna's needle danced with magic stitching garments that brought joy to all who wear them. Amrita’s touch healed the sick.  They built a tailoring shop and clinic near the banyan tree. Amrita's father Muniratna once stern now happy with pride. The villagers were impressed seeing the progress of the couple. As the couple walked hand in hand through the  lush fields  they knew that their love and determination won from the villagers and got rid of the crooked person Manikantha.The couple's love grew stronger as they collaborated with the  life of villagers. The story of Jayanna and Amrita became a legend in the village, inspiring others to find love and work together.
