As it us said If anything which is permanent in world its the change
But is it so easy to mend , may be our habit our routine or our job or a house or anything ofcourse no not at all as people need
Let me explain you scientifically
Our brain has a neurons like a wires connected to each other
Once you do anything for first time it will make your brain think which path to take naturally brain takes a easy path and follow it
Now what happens is when you want to make change like walking daily in morning your mind will naturally not allow you , Let us start tomorrow
So here comes pattern of changing habit in the book atomic habit and also in various scientifically proven habit related papers says there are 4 things going on in mind
Cue means stimulus or simply what you feel
Craving means what you want
Response means what you do
Reward means what you get
Again with a example
If you are feeling bored its cue
Want to break a borderm and enjoy its craving
Scrolling on social media is response
Feeing very happy reward
Here last 2 you can change like painting and becoming happy , music and becoming happy etc
So here brain made a connection
Now if you change a path and go other route instead of 3 rd one that is response you make a new connection Now like a new road
So your brain disagrees
But why
Because the place in a brain where emotions and memories are stored are different from where decision is taken so it need to get connected by neurons and that too strongly
For example
Child has less neurons connection
Elders have complex one
As many things are stored so only it is said that its easy train a kid then elder
In gujarati it is said
Paaka ghade katha na chade
The reason is neurons have to be freshly connected in one
On other the first loop has to be forgotten then new id formed and we don't know that how many other loops are also connected to our previous one so its tuf but not impossible if inner instinct is there
Also its also not necessary with what intensity you try to make a change But how consistently you do because it takes time to take new connections
So basically this is about how change happens
Practically
From various books and podcast i have learnt the following things
1 Don't just think I will start from tomorrow. think I will do this after taking bath or any. activity you are regularly doing
2 . Club it with others like while I am walking which you are regularly doing I. will here a audio book ( if you want to. read but unable to do it ).
3 . Gift yourself. Like if I complete this book. will buy something or go to any. restaurant try new dish etc which you. like
Lastly be honest to yourself
Don't cheat yourself or don't compromise with bad habits you are having
[ Things I have explained in a layman( normal person who does not know science well ) language so scientific words are not used propely , and things given is just to explain how it works as a example ]
