Unforgettable Voyage - Ranjan Desai - 5

                          Chapter - 5

We had arrived in Bharuch a week before the wedding.

However, an unfortunate incident occurred during that time. Kishore unclei's elder brother passed away.  Because of this, the wedding had to be postponed for some time.

We didn't know anything about it. We only learned the truth after reaching Bharuch. The atmosphere became very somber.

When we reached,  it was learnt by us, and Uncle Kishore never informed us about the tragedy because he wanted my father  to stay with him.

And My father consoled entire family

Our presence provided the Uncle great amount of relief.

He had a large family. He had six daughters, four of whom were married, and the fifth's wedding was supposed to take place but was postponed.  Besides them, he had another daughter, the youngest called Neela. Apart from that uncle also had three sons.

Within a few days, I became friendly with Neela. We were of the same age.

During the summer, all the family members would go to the Narmada River to bathe. Seeing this, I also wanted to bathe in the river. I hesitated to talk to Uncle directly. I conveyed my wish to him through my father. He immediately called his daughter and instructed her:

"Neela, my daughter! Show Sambhav Bhai the way to the river."

Hearing this, Bhavika also got ready to come along .  And the three of us set off along the river bank.

It was evening.  Night was due to descend upon the earth.

Neela was walking right beside me. Our bodies kept brushing against each other. I was walking with my arm around her shoulders.

Neela didn't seem to have any problem with that. My elbow touched her chest once or twice. Neela didn't react or object.

Upon reaching the river, she ordered me:

"Take off your clothes and jump in."

"I don't know how to swim!!"

Hearing my confession, she reassured me:

"No problem, just sit near the bank, splash some water on yourself, and fulfill your wish."

Saying this, she took off her frock and, still wearing her bra, jumped into the river. Her two dark nipples were clearly visible through her bra.

Seeing her, Bhavika also followed suit and jumped into the river. -

After being in the water for 15-20 minutes, we came out. I couldn't tolerate the cold water; I was shivering.

We sat on the sand and were talking.

At that time, a young man came to us.

       Neela introduced him.

       " This is Dr. Nilesh!!"

Neela was talking to him very openly.

There was some connection between them, of which I had no knowledge.

I stayed alone in Bharuch a for a week at the insistence of Kishore Uncle and his family.

During that time, I heard a lot of gossip about Neela. I had grown closer to her. I also learned about her inappropriate behavior with the so-called Dr. Nilesh.

Her aunt's daughter-in-law's elder sister told me about it.

At that time, I didn't know anything about sex. Yet, unknowingly, I did something wrong with Neela... and Neela's own behavior was responsible for it.

Once, I had a boil on my buttock. Her mother prepared a turmeric paste for me. I was going to another room to apply it. At that moment, Neela boldly followed me. She made an offer to me.  "Shall I apply the ointment for you?"

I was astonished to hear her say that.

Neela, a young woman, made this offer to me without hesitation, an offer even a middle-aged woman wouldn't make.

I went inside and applied the ointment myself. She was annoyed by this. She even called me a fool.

She kept doing things to provoke me.

She would sit her sister's 15-year-old son on her lap and kiss his cheeks.

She was inviting me to do something wrong under this pretext, something I was unaware of at the time.

Finally, the time came to leave for Mumbai.

That night, she slept about a foot and a half away from me.  Emotionally, I asked her:

        "How are you, sister?"

As I asked this, my hand inadvertently touched her stomach. But I didn't do anything.

What if someone else had been in my place?

They wouldn't have left Neela alone.

In the morning, I got ready and reached the station by bus with a neighboring couple. They were going to Shrinathji. They were a newly married couple.  Kishore Bhai had requested them to help me get into the car properly.

But those two, like Romeo and Juliet, immediately boarded the car as soon as it arrived. And I followed them, getting into the car somehow.

As soon as I got into the car, I craved tea. I bought a cup of tea from a tea vendor.

It was 1:30 PM, and I had reached Dahanu Road. I bought a packet of bhel (a type of Indian street food) from a vendor at the station and had my snack.

At four o'clock in the evening, I reached Mumbai Central.

My father was surprised to see me.

I was young, and I had traveled all the way to Mumbai alone.
