"Enough!!! You can't do anything in your life! You're shame for us! We should've never let you come in this world! You're nothing but a disgrace for us! Now leave my house! Get lost!!!!!!!". This was said by Akhil's father who owned a restaurant. But what made his father say this to his own son... Let's read Akhil's story...
It all begins when Akhil was born. Before his birth, Akhil's father Rakesh Bhatia was a very hardworking yet poor man. Rakesh married to his love, Anjana, who came from a rich family. For love, they left their homes and ran far from their families and got married in the court. They lived in a rented apartment. The apartment was 1 room kitchen with cracked walls, with cockroaches between them. They had a pet. It was not a dog or cat but a mouse which stayed in that apartment for years. That rat saw 3 families before the Bhatia family settled here. Anjana always chose love over luxury because of the household she was living in. Her brother tried to kill her two times just to get the ownership of the property. Anjana had no other option but to be with Rakesh and stay much away from her family.
Rakesh was poor since birth. His father was extremely strict and stubborn man who always instructed Rakesh's mother. His father abused her, tortured her when she didn't lived on his terms. Rakesh's father lost his job and from then got into addictions. Rakesh understood from a very young age that he has to do something to live life much better than this. With help of Anjana's money, Rakesh invested it in his small business of selling street food. Through his hardwork, his 1RK apartment became 1BHK and his roadside stand became a small restaurant. Then comes their son, Akhil.
Akhil was the hope of his family. He was the first child. After his birth, Rakesh became more consistent and hardworking towards his small scale business for he has to live for his son. Anjana stayed as housewife and nurtured Akhil with morals, ethics, values. Akhil soon grew up as a sweet hearted boy. His family always supported him. With Akhil growing up, Rakesh's resturant also grew. After Akhil's schooling, he took admission in an engineering college. Akhil's life was going pretty decent until that day.....
It was the first day of his engineering college. He was entering the college when he saw outside a boy who came riding a sports bike. He was tall, handsome, muscular. The girls standing beside Akhil started to blush and discuss about that boy. Akhil wanted to know about him. "That boy's name is Sid", said the college janitor holding bucket in one hand and mop in another. "Is he new to college?" asks Akhil. "No, he is new here but I know him as he is politicians son. But stay away from him. He is not what he looks like.".
"Well, that's strange".
Akhil left. He understood what Ashok (the janitor) told him.
It was the beginning of the new session of the first year. Everyone was new, everything seemed new. Akhil and other students were seated in their places and the professor entered the classroom.....
"Good morning students. I am Ajay Gaitonde, your maths professor and class incharge". Ajay Gaitonde was a short heighted man, with a huge round belly. He always wore tight shirt due to which his belly was always visible from the gap between the buttons of his shirt. He had only 4 hairs on his head. After professor greeted the students, he said "ok students, as it is the first day of this session, I request all students to introduce yourself one by one." All students felt awkward as they have to speak to whole class about themselves. Akhil was also nervous. One by one students came and introduced themselves.......
The class strength was 69, out of which 27 were girls and rest were boys.
"Good morning everyone. I am Shruti". Gaitonde smiled at her in weird way. Gaitonde favoured girls more than boys.
Then came Disha, Gaitonde smiled at her aswell. Then came Anil, Gaitonde completely ignored his introduction. Gaitonde always smiled at girls in the hope that someone will give him the attention.
After few students introduced, came Arjun's turn.....
"Good morning everyone, I am Arjun" Arjun said this with swaying his hand on his hairs. Gaitonde got jealous....Gaitonde asked " What do you think about yourself? You think you're smart huhh? You think you will set your hair and girls will be impressed? This is college, you are here to study! This style will shed off once you reach my age..."
Arjun asked " Are you married?"
Sir replied " No, I am divorced"
Arjun said "Now I got to know why your wife left"
Gaitonde got angry but it was the first day so he replied "It is the first day so I am leaving you, but next time be careful".
Arjun and Akhil sat together on the first bench. They both became friends. Then came Akhil's turn. He introduced " Hello everyone, I am Akhil, I am 19 years old and I like to play cricket. I scored 91% in 12th and .........." Gaitonde instantly interrupted "you got 91%!!!! ?"
"Yess" Akhil replied.
"Good, but how much marks in maths???" Gaitonde asked
"42 out of 100".
"Aaaah, I knew it. you all can never be as good in maths as I am. Life is all about mathematics, without maths, universe cannot be explored". Gaitonde said with deep manly voice and contracted his belly inside to look slim fit...
Everyone was annoyed by what the professor said but Gaitonde was trying to impress Shalini madam and Samiksha madam who were walking beside the classroom corridor. Arjun got aware about what Gaitonde is trying to do here so he looked at Gaitonde and smiled😏😏😏😏 "two targets from one arrow" 😏😏😏.
"Shhhhhshhhhh" said Gaitonde. He knew that Arjun is aware of his game.....
Akhil finished his intro. Soon entire class gave intro. The professor just started his maths lecture but then came one boy whose name is Shrikant Muthhiya.
"May I come in sirrrrr!!" Muthhiya said while heavily breathing as he was 20 minutes late and rushed towards the class.
"What is this??? Is this the time to enter the class???!!!"
"Sorry sir" Muthhiya apologises
"No, you will not get today's attendance. You should never come late in class. Coming late is a sign of lack of discipline and is a disrespect towards the institution" Gaitonde, again taking his belly in and in deep voice, said to Muthhiya. Everyone was annoyed again by him but only Arjun laughed, because again Shalini madam and Samiksha madam went to their cabin by walking beside the classroom corridor.
"Where do you live?????!!!" Gaitonde shouted at Muthhiya.
"Saaarrrrr, sirrrr I LIVE IN INDIA sirrrrr!!!!!!" Muthhiya proudly said this. Everyone laughed.
"Shut up!!! Everyone is from India! Where in India?? !!!" Gaitonde shouted...
"Sirrr saaaarrrr, From Kerela...... Sirrrr!!!!!" Muthhiya said it with pride.
"How you came here?" Frustrated Gaitonde.
"Sirr by walking sirrr" Muthhiya said.
"You dumb idiot! You came 1400km to Navi Mumbai by walking?????!" Gaitonde shouted.
"Aaiiyoooo, no sirrr, kerela my native place sirr, I come from Kamothe sir...."
"Aaaaghhhh... Ok but you won't get attendance, and you have to sit in class". Gaitonde instructed...
Muthhiya sat thinking about what made Gaitonde angry on him.... Gaitonde closed the door and started his teaching. No one was intrested in what professor was teaching. Akhil was also bored, Arjun was playing GTA San Andreas in his phone. Everyone were about to sleep in Gaitonde's class but soon came one sweet voice.......
"May I come in sir?"
Gaitonde looked towards the door. He was curious. He could see that there was a girl from the small gap between the closed doors. He went to open the door and told her to come in..... Everyone was curious to know who came in class......
She was amazing, her eyes were so beautiful that it seemed entire universe is fitted in her eyes. Her long silky hair, her smile..... Uuuufffff.
All boys were amazed to see her for the first time, thinking to make her their gf. But they were not aware that Gaitonde himself was in the game. Gaitonde's smile became more wide after looking at her.....
Before she could sit, Gaitonde stopped her and said to introduce herself to the class (actually he wanted to know her name, and about her, Gaitonde is very smart🤔😏😏). But as the girl began her introduction, a boy stood up and said -
"Aaaiiyooo sirrr!!! You didn't asked me for my introduction!!!!!" Muthhiya said with deep sorrow.
"You shut up!! You already introduced yourself to me. You are from Kerela and come here by walking! Now sit down you idiot!!" Gaitonde shouted again on him.
"You continue dear". Gaitonde politely said to the new girl who entered 30 minutes late for the class. The girl began -
"Hi everyone, my name is Aisha. I am from Navi Mumbai and live in Belapur. I love to dance, and meet new people. I want to create a software company.."
"Woooww, very good Aisha, I really like the way you spoke". Gaitonde trying to impress her....
"Thank you sir, but will I get attendance?" Aisha asked.
"Sure, I mean, why not. You can sit and study.." Gaitonde said to Aisha with very sweet voice.... Suddenly Muthhiya spoke -
"But sirrrr! She came 30 minutes late and I came 20 minutes late. Still you are giving her attendance!."
Now Gaitonde got a bit nervous because now students will think that he is favouring Aisha, and soon everyone will realise about his game to impress her. Gaitonde thought for a moment and replied to Muthhiya -
"So what, you live near to our College whereas she has to travel much more than you to reach here. So she'll get her attendance.".
"But sirrrrrrr!!!!!"
"Shut up!!!!!!!!"
Arjun understood what Gaitonde tried to do here, he smiled at Gaitonde once again😏😏😏
Gaitonde ignored him and continued teaching.
Aisha sat on first bench of 5th row. Akhil and Arjun were sitting on the first of the 2nd row. All boys were looking at Aisha, thinking how lucky they will be after they become her boyfriend.
Akhil didn't look at her. As his mother raised him with good values and morals, his focus was in studies and not on girls.
As both Aisha and Akhil were sitting on 1st bench in different rows, they could see each other. Gaitonde started explaining maths concepts to students orally. Akhil was looking at his professor. Just for a moment he looked away and what he saw, he saw Aisha looking at him! Akhil ignored her instantly and focused on what professor trying to explain. Akhil tried look back once again and he sees Aisha seeing him continuously. Akhil's eyes and Aisha's eyes looked at each other for the first time. It was just like a wise monk getting distracted when he looks to a beautiful women. Her eyes were enough to make Akhil fall in love. Don't know about Aisha but for Akhil, love began ringing in his heart.
Till now, Aisha was looking at Akhil until he fell in love. But when Akhil tried to look at Aisha, she began ignoring him. Akhil was disappointed, thinking why girls do this to guys.
Maths lecture got over. After that, whole day in classroom these two were playing with eyes. Aisha looked at Akhil, Akhil fell more deeper, and when Akhil tried to look at her with love, she ignored. Arjun was sitting with Akhil and was observing everything.
"You love her?" Asks Arjun
"No, why will I love her?" Replies Akhil
"You stupid. You are saying you don't love her after you fell in love with her"
"How do you know?" Akhil asks
"I know everything brother" Arjun replies...
"Hahaha, funny, but what should I do now?" Akhil asks Arjun
"Talk to her" Arjun suggests
Akhil replies "I think it will be too early to talk to her"
Arjun says "you will regret later when you will see her talking to other guys"
With this, Akhil decides to talk to Aisha. The college ends and students were leaving. Akhil saw Aisha moving towards college gate. Akhil immediately took Arjun with him and rushed towards her. Aisha was about to take auto but she heard someone taking her name
"Aisha!"
Aisha looks back.
Akhil came running towards her. Arjun standing far away from them observing everything.
"Hi, my name's Akhil"
"Oh, hi Akhil, I am Aisha" Aisha brings her hand forward. They both shake their hands. Akhil felt her softness for first time. He fell more harder for her. But he is new in this game of love that he began fumbling words and started stuttering infront of her.
"Hi. I-I saw you t-t-t-today. You l-l-look. You ......."
"What?" Aisha asks curiously
"No. I-I-I meant...."
"You're really funny" she laughed. Akhil also laughed.
"Ok, I have to go, I'm in a hurry"
"Oh , ok ,bye". Akhil said
Aisha took rickshaw. Arjun came towards Akhil.
"What did she say?" Arjun asks
"Sh*t, I hate myself" Akhil explains the conversation between him and Aisha to Arjun.
"Oohhh so that's what happened 😂"
"Why are you laughing huh? You brought me into this!" Akhil frustrates.
"Atleast you spoke something" Arjun said.
Both went to their homes. Akhil came home.
"How was your day my dear?" Akhil's mother asks.
"It was good 👍 " Akhil replies after knowing how he fumbled words infront of the girl he began to fall for.
Soon Akhil's father enters, but it seems Rakesh (Akhil's father) is disappointed and nervous. While Akhil was busy thinking about Aisha, Anjana (Akhil's mother) immediately understood that something is wrong with her husband.
The family had their dinner. Later, Akhil went to sleep. It was past midnight. Akhil's parents still awake discussing in other room.
"What happened? Something is not alright, is it regarding the restaurant?" Anjana asks Rakesh.
"No everything is alright. You sleep" Rakesh replied.
"You didn't even have your dinner properly. Please tell me or else I won't sleep" said Anjana
"Our restaurant is dealing with huge loss due to this LPG shortage. If this continues, we might have to close this restaurant" Rakesh said sadly.
"Don't worry, God will have something better for us than this." Anjana relieves Rakesh. Both went to sleep.
The next day Akhil went to college but this time he went not for the purpose of studying but for the purpose to talk to Aisha more confidently. Akhil decided to sit at last bench. He took Arjun with him. Soon Aisha entered the class. She saw Akhil sitting at the back. So, she also sat at the back in another row.
The lecture began. Akhil and Aisha kept looking at each other for long time. None of them is interested to study. Arjun saw and suggested Akhil to follow her on social media. Akhil instantly grabbed his phone and searched for her insta. He sent her the request. Aisha saw his request and followed him back. They both began chatting online.
They both had similarites. Both liked and disliked same things. They got to know about each other, about their life and about their future. It seems they both are now friends. Whole day was spent in chatting.
The college got over and before anyone could leave. Gaitonde came into class. He first saw Aisha and smiled at her.. then said to entire class -
"Dear students, after one month you will have your freshers party. Students are instructed to wear suits and dresses as we will be having PROM night"
The students were excited after they heard about the prom night. It's the only chance for Akhil to dance with Aisha and to confess her what he felt about her. He began imagining dancing with her.
For one month, they both began spending time with each other. Went to cafés, theatre, shopping malls. Akhil was more happier than ever. Soon the month got over and 1 day was left for the freshers party.
Akhil decides to wear the suit his father used to wear during his young days. It was a three - piece black Italian suit with a golden coloured pocket watch.
The day came. Everyone came looking like gentlmen and gentlewomen. Akhil came wearing his father's suit. He looked really handsome. Arjun praised him for his fashion. Everyone was busy meeting each other until Aisha entered.
She wore a black sleeveless dress, with a golden coloured necklace. She was already beautiful but after this, no one could take their eyes off her. Akhil saw her with his mouth and eyes open, for what he saw was equal to heaven. Aisha saw Akhil but felt too shy to talk to him so she went to meet her friends.
Everyone seemed happy but someone was much more happier than them..... Gaitonde!!!.......
Gaitonde was so happy looking at beautiful girls. He saw Shalini madam and went to have a conversation with her.
"You looking beautiful madam♥️" Gaitonde said with a very sweet tone.
"Oohh thank you so much sir. You also look handsome" Shalini madam replied politely.
Gaitonde was so happy when Shalini madam called him handsome. Gaitonde was trying his best to maintain the conversation with Shalini madam until Muthhiya came......
"Aaiiyoo sirrrr! You look so handsome!"
"Hmmmm......Thanks. Now meet your friends" Gaitonde replies with frustration.
Everyone was enjoying the party. The party was getting towards it's end when the moment for which everyone was waiting came....
"Ok students! Now it's time for the moment everyone is waiting for..
PROM NIGHT...!!!!"
"YAYYYAAAAYYYYYYY....WOOHOOOO" the crowd shouted.
The party host says "you will be dancing with your partner and the best pair will be the Mr. And Mrs. Fresher of our college. You all have 5 minutes to choose your dance partner. 3...2....1....Go"
Everyone rushed to get a dance partner. Gaitonde was thinking that he will get a chance to dance with Shalini madam. But Shalini madam couldn't dance due to her leg injury.
Gaitonde was little disappointed, that he won't get a partner.... Until Muthhiya came -
"Sirrr!! Sirrrr! Will you be my partner???!!" Muthhiya asks
"Shut up, get lost!!!!!" Gaitonde angrily replies. Later Gaitonde realised only first year students can dance, no teachers allowed.
Akhil was searching for Aisha. He saw her and went towards her. While he was moving towards Aisha, he was confident that she will accept to dance with him. Akhil was just few meters away from her when he saw what he shouldn't. He was not ready to face what was about to happen. After this night, his entire life is going to change.
