Later that night, as Raghav returned from the village. The moment Raghav reached home, he saw their faces—tensed, drained, and grim. Kaka was pacing in the courtyard, frustration and fear lining his features.
"What happened? Where's Tanvi?" Raghav asked.
"She's resting," Kaki replied softly. "She’s fine now… just shocked."
Kaka stepped forward. "Raghav, she shouldn’t have to go that place… it holds things buried for a reason."
Raghav’s eyes narrowed. "Why does everyone keep hiding things from me? What happened in that wada? What is our family’s connection to it?"
No one answered. Kaka avoided his eyes. Sunanda looked away, her lips trembling.
"Kaka, please!" Raghav’s voice cracked. "I have a right to know!"
But all Sunanda said was, “Go back to Mumbai, Raghav. Please. Stay away from this place.”
Raghav stood frozen, feeling the growing weight of secrets unspoken. His instincts told him he was closer than ever to the truth, and yet everyone around him seemed determined to keep him in the dark. He glanced at the old door to the mansion, now sealed again.
That night, long after everyone had gone to bed, Kaka stood silently by the doorway, staring at the locked mansion in the distance. A gust of wind blew through the trees, carrying with it a familiar whisper…
"You can't save them..."
Kaka shivered. He knew the haunting had only just begun.

Raghav walked into his room, heart pounding with worry. The pale moonlight filtering through the window cast a soft glow over Tanvi’s sleeping figure. Her breath was steady now, her face no longer twisted in fear but calm. He sat beside her, brushing a strand of hair away from her forehead. She stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering open.
"Raghav..." she whispered, her voice barely audible.
He looked at her, his eyes filled with a storm of emotions. “Tanvi… are you alright? God, what were you thinking?” His voice cracked, a mix of fear and anger lacing his tone. “What if something had happened to you? Do you even realise what you mean to me?”
She tried to sit up, but he gently held her back. "Just rest," he said, but the pain in his chest refused to be silent.
“You always fight with me, you ignore me, and yet... I kept waiting. But if anything had happened to you today, Tanvi… I don’t know what I would’ve done,” he confessed, his voice trembling. “I can’t lose you. I love you… so damn much.”
Tanvi's eyes welled up with tears. She held his hand, her fingers trembling. “I’m sorry… I just wanted to help. I didn’t want anyone else to get hurt. I had to know what was inside.”
He sighed, pulling her close. “Just promise me… no more secrets. We’ll face everything together.”
At that moment, the door creaked softly. It was Madhavi, her face heavy with guilt.
“I… I’m sorry,” she said, stepping in hesitantly. “I lied to everybody. I told them Tanvi took me to the wada, but the truth is… we both went by our choice. I just… I was scared my parents would get angry if they found out I was involved.”
Tanvi and Raghav looked at her in silence.
“I didn’t think things would go that far,” she continued. “But when she got locked in and I heard that voice… I panicked. I didn’t know what else to do. Please forgive me.”
Raghav’s jaw tightened, but Tanvi squeezed his hand.
“I understand,” Tanvi said gently. “You were scared. We all are. But now’s not the time for lies, Madhavi. That wada… there’s something in there. Something none of us can ignore anymore.”
Madhavi nodded, tears glistening in her eyes. “I know. I saw her. The woman… the spirit. She followed me. She… she’s not at peace. She’s waiting for something. Or someone.”
Raghav stared at both of them, the puzzle pieces slowly falling into place. “We need to find out the truth. About her. About the mansion. About our family.”
A silence fell between them, heavy but understanding. The air in the room was filled with fear, but also love and determination.
Because now, the real haunting had begun. And this time—they would face it together.
"Yes we are together" madhavi said, As Tanvi and Raghav embraced each other in the warmth of their newfound trust, Madhavi stepped back into the shadowed hallway. A faint smirk curled on her lips, vanishing as quickly as it appeared. Her eyes, once filled with fear, now gleamed with something else—intent. Exactly how it should be, she thought. They needed to be part of this. She whispered under her breath.
"You wanted the truth, Raghav… now you’ll live it." The flickering lamp beside her dimmed for a moment, and somewhere in the distance, the wind carried a soft, eerie laugh—one only Madhavi seemed to understand.
