“Fortunately either you or I have faced such a situation but succumbing to sexual temptations is so easy. Sometimes it is just impossible to remain without yielding to them. Many a time I felt urge like that in me and just because I could not get a mate at that time I have refrained from committing it.”
“It is not just in your case. It is just so for me also. Many a time I too have desperately looked for a mate to satisfy my uncontrollable urge and just because I could not find one I remained virgin till my marriage with you.” Sameera said and laughed. “Anyhow I am not thinking keeping intact myself a virgin until my marriage is a great thing and it would not be a great mistake if I lost it for some reasons before marriage. But….” She clipped her inner lip between her teeth frames and paused.
“With what you are struggling yourself so?”
“But I cannot think it is allowable at all continuing extra marital relationships. Maintaining sexual relationship with other than spouse, I just cannot support. However may be the life before marriage, after marriage wife and husband should be faithful to each other.” After releasing her lip slowly Sameera said.
“I understood why you said this now.” Aravind smiled. “That Malathi and your dad continued that relationship even after their marriage with other people. It is not allowable and excusable. But it is not that much of a grave mistake comparing with so other grievous mistakes around.”
“So you are supporting extra marital relationships?” Sameera looked into his face straight.
“I am neither supporting nor encouraging them.” Aravind said. “But sometimes, in weak moments, mistakes like that may happen. They need to be understood and excused.”
“My dad and that Malathi not just committed it one or two times after their marriage. They continued it also for some considerable time I think.” With gathered frowns Sameera said.
“What is really troubling you Sameera why you are again talking like this? Are you once again developing rancor on your dad and that Malathi?” keeping her face in his gaze, Aravind asked her.
“Of course, no.” Sameera nodded her head in negation. “Now I have only love and affection on my dad. But still it is something I cannot digest. How they both could continue a relationship like that?”
“Sometimes our minds don’t work in a proper way. The relationship between your dad and that lady was that much strong. Your dad loved your mom and married her. He thought he could, but even after marriage also he could not evict that Malathi from his heart. Subconsciously he was tempted and forced to have it from her. It was just a sort of fulfillment to him. In fact he did it to her for more than sexual pleasure.” Aravind said. “Anyhow whatever mistake your dad and that Malathi have committed was not that much of a serious one. Just forget about it.”
“Alright. I will do as you said.” Sameera laughed and said. “Just see. Their business might be completed. That Anand is coming down.” She was looking at Anand who was descending the stairs.
Anand came straight to them both. “Where is my daughter?” he asked them.
Aravind and Sameera looked into each other’s faces. “We don’t know where she is.” looking into his face Sameera said.
“She is not with my father in law. Then I can understand that she is with your parents.” Anand said.
“At present my son has taken the duty of eating their minds away without giving chance to your daughter.” Sameera said.
“Then where she can be?” Anand knitted his brows together.
“Cannot you guess where she is now? Who has been entertaining our both devils most from the moment we entered into this house?” Aravind asked him.
“Then there is no necessity to me to worry about her now.” He slumped himself in the chair near to them both.
As they were talking in themselves so Vinod got off from the chair and started going towards the staircase to go upstairs.
“He took rest in the chair itself so peacefully till the moment.” Sameera said.
“I am afraid that he would go straight into middle room and disturb my wife. She just started taking rest in that room.” Sighing heavily, Anand said.
“No problem whatsoever. Anyhow I think your father in law never disturbs his daughter if she is taking rest like that there.” Aravind said.
Anand did not say anything to that but leaned in the chair and closed his eyes. But subconsciously he was feeling that his father in law was going straight into the middle room upstairs to meet his wife there.

“Oh, dad. Please come in.”
Anand’s guessing did not go wrong. Vinod indeed suddenly wanted to talk with his daughter and only with that view he went upstairs and into that room straight. Sunanda was trying to get sleep but she could not yet. Hearing the footsteps she perched her up and found Vinod there. She immediately sat straight and said that.
“I am disturbing you from your rest dear, I am so sorry.” Going straight into the chair near to the bed and slumping himself in it, Vinod said.
“You did not disturb me from anything and talking with you is always a pleasure to me.” Sunanda laughed. “Tell me dad. Do you want to talk anything particular with me now?”
“Of course, no.” Vinod nodded his head in negation and said. “I am just wanted to be with you and talk with you.” He looked into her face and said.
“Then you are with me and talking with me. Your desire is fulfilled, is it is not?” Sunanda laughed again.
“You are right.” Vinod nodded his head. “How is your life with Anand now?” he asked her suddenly after few seconds pause.
“Why you are asking it suddenly like this dad?” there came a surprising expression on the face of Sunanda. “What is really troubling you?”
“Nothing is troubling me in fact.” Vinod said. “But you both have some disputes between you at one time. I know they were resolved. But still I want to make myself sure that there are no disputes between you both now and you both are leading a happy life.”
“I can understand dad, sure I can understand.” Sunanda transferred herself from the bed into the chair beside Vinod and put her hand around his neck. “After mom, you are the person who does worry about my welfare like this.” She paused for a moment and sighed heavily. “Everything is perfect between me and Anand dad. Don’t worry about it at all.”
Vinod nodded his head and remained silent.
“Don’t think I said it like this only to satisfy you. It is the fact. I am not going to say Anand is a hundred percent perfect guy. He has his pitfalls and backdrops just like myself. But he is not a bad guy. At present we both are leading a very happy life. Don’t worry about me at all.” looking straight into his face, Sunanda said.
“I am feeling very happy hearing it like this from you.” There came a smile on the lips of Vinod.
“But dad….” Sunanda paused for a moment and her eyes became wet. “I know how much you have been suffering after mom’s death. She indeed left a big vacuum in you. I never have seen someone who loved his wife that much. I doubt I also not loved my mother as much as you loved and I am not feeling for her as much you are feeling. What a great relationship it is between you both!” there came a surprising expression in her face.
“Because she was such a remarkable lady!” Vinod said. “I know that she did mistakes. But despite whatever she did, she was indeed very much remarkable! I just don’t know what really in her is making me feel like that towards her, I just cannot say.” His voice became heavy.
“That is what still quite surprising to me! She did something which no husband on earth ever excuses. You have not only excused her but thinking that she is remarkable. What really made you think about her like that?”
“I said I cannot say.” Vinod said with the same voice. “She respected me all the time and she made me feel happy. Her behavior towards me is always quite satisfying to me. She never behaved superior even her income was quite higher to me also. That is why even though sometimes I felt ……..” he paused.
“Dad, tell me what you really wanted to say?” keeping his face in her gaze, Sunanda asked him.
“No, I did not want to say anything. Please forget.” Vinod leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes.
“You want to say something and you must tell me about it. If you have love and affection on me you must say this to me.” Sunanda got off from the chair and stood opposite to him.
“I am telling you the truth I really did not want to say anything. Why I said like that I don’t know. Please leave it.” with a pleading expression in his face, Vinod said.
“No dad, it is not so. You cannot escape from me like that. You really wanted to say something but you are hesitating how I do take it. If you don’t tell me, I really feel very much hurt.” With firmness in her voice, Sunanda said.
“I never lost my love and affection on her even sometimes I thought that you are not my daughter.” Vinod said in just once sentence.
Involuntarily Sunanda slumped herself in the chair she sat before. “What’s the bloody hell you are trying to say to me?” there came a shocking expression in her face
“Sometimes I am thinking that you are also the daughter of that Rajesh dear.” With a small voice, Vinod said.
“Really, really there was such a possibility?” Sunanda’s voice shivered while saying that.
“Not just a possibility but there is resemblance also. You have the features of that Rajesh in you, ever you observed yourself carefully?” Vinod asked her.
There was silence between them both until it was broken by Sunanda with difficulty. “This doubt has been expressed by Sameera at one time. You may be right dad.” Sunanda’s voice was still shivering.
“Oh, dear! It is my fault. What a fool I am! I should not have said it like that. Please forget all about that. The thought that you may think that I am not your dad making me tremendously bad.” With a worrying expression in his face Vinod said.
“Never, it never happens like that.” Once again Sunanda’s voice became firm. “Might be that Rajesh was my biological father. But that never does change the relationship between you and me. Even it has been for sure known to me that Rajesh is my biological father, only you remain as my father in my heart.”
“I am feeling very much happy hearing like this.” Vinod laughed and said. “Now whatever you wanted to hear from me I said that. We may better stop talking about it and pick up some other topic.”
“No, dad. We cannot simply forget this thing and change into some other topic.” Sunanda said. “I cannot understand why things like these have taken place only in our lives. How mom could behave like that? What type of woman she really was? Who were her parents? Did she share any of those details with you?” she dragged her chair opposite to him and kept his face in her gaze.
