Princess of Varunaprastha - 5

Chitraketu only transported King Vishvara and his wife Vrinda from the Tridevi temple to the seat built on a high tower in a moment. King Vishvara saw on the seat that there were two thrones and above that throne there was a canopy. Chitraketu requested King Visvara and Queen Vrinda to ascend the throne.

After being seated on the throne King Vishvara looked towards the front. There was also a minaret in the front. A young man was sitting on the throne above him and armed soldiers were standing around him.

Seeing this, King Vishvara asked the general, "Is the young man sitting on the front minaret your king? "Chitraketu replied with a sigh," No, it is our Maharaj's brother Rajvardhan. "Hearing this, King Vishvara made a complete inspection of Rajavardhana.

On seeing the body with strong arms, tight muscles, many wounds of war like ornaments, the mark of Shrivatsa on the chest, gold colored brass, a belt with a peacock in place of a crown on the head, King Vishvara felt for a moment the image of Rajavardhana Prabhu Shri Hari Vishnu. After a few moments, a man in armor came and stood next to Rajvardhan. Seeing this, King Vishvara felt the possibility of something untoward happening, but he remained silent.

Rajvardhan instructed the warrior beside him to proceed by gesturing with his hand. Thus the warrior leaped from the tower and reached the middle ground.

The armored mask with which he covered half of his face, armor which he wore on the breast, and the lion on the left side of that armor and the eagle on the right side and the figure of the sun between them, the sword with a golden fist tied at the back, the shield tied at the left hand provided another identity to that warrior.

Seeing this, the king got angry. He inquired from the commander Chitraketu about the name of the warrior. So Chitraketu informed the king that his name was Sudarshana and requested King Visvara to summon the warrior of Varuna Prastha.

King Vishwar shut his eyes and recalled a name. Suddenly, a young lady appeared before them. The girl had put on a metal crown over her head and half of her face. He had gloves and a helmet on both his hands. He possessed only a sword in his hand as a weapon and a triangular shield fastened on his back. On his armor was inscribed a figure of a half-sun. Which was the Rajmudra of Varunprastha.

The commander Chitraketu got anxious finding a woman the warrior of Varunprastha. He glanced at the king. Thus King Visvara, with a smile, approached Chitraketu and said, "This is the warrior Megha of our kingdom Varuna-prastha."

When he had uttered thus, all people in the town were happy. In reply, Megha folded up his sword and let it fall on the earth. The people of the area became enraged hearing this. Megha then picked up his shield from his back and people of the town calmed down.

"But Your Majesty, your warrior is a woman. "Chitrakoot spoke anxiously.

"Yes, this is the most skilled warrior of my kingdom."
The king insisted in his reply.
