Chapter - 8
Witnessing all this, the grief-stricken King Vishvara inquired from the announcer Chitraketu, "What is this?" Hearing this, Chitrakuta gazed at the sky. He could see a form hurled from the sky to the ground. Because of the falling of that one, a large crater crashed onto the ground and the air around it turned dirty due to the impact of that form.
The figure became apparent as the dust particles came down after some time. He then emerged from the well. On seeing this, all the town's people and King Vishwar understood that the figure was Sudarshan himself, and it was Megha who had thrown it. Sudarshan emerged from the pit, sprang again, and flew towards the sky. Upon seeing this, Chitraketu glanced at Rajvardhan from the other side. Rajvardhan was in a conversation with Maharishi Suyodhana, the king priest of the Indian kingdom of Bharata. On witnessing this, strict lines were traced on the painter's face.
On observing Chitraketu's solemn face, King Vishvara started getting anxious. They started offering prayers to the Divine Mother. When he again asked Chitraketu the same question, Chitraketu said, "Your Majesty, your warrior Megha is no ordinary woman. It is a part of the divine power. Otherwise, there is no human being on the entire earth who can provide such a massive battle to our warrior Sudarshan. That's why this war has been going on for so long."
Meanwhile, the war between Sudarshan and Megha that had been ongoing had now turned serious. With the agility of a cheetah, Sudarshan punched Megha, whereas Megha, demonstrating deer - like agility, pushed the punch aside and caught hold of Sudarshan's hand and hurled him onto the battlefield. This was an attack typical of Sudarshan.
Sudarshan again stood before Megha after washing the mud on his body. But he was not upset. She didn't act. So Sudarshan got surprised. He was preparing for attack again.
Both were still airborne. Sudarshan remembered each second of the war prior to the attack in order to succeed with this ferry. Then suddenly he fell down. Going through each one of them, he understood that till now Megha had been fighting a defensive war. When Sudarshan attacked Megha, Megha responded with defensive movements and did not attack Sudarshan in a manner that could be termed really fatal.
With that, Sudarshan stopped and paused in attack. There was a feeling of surprise in Megha upon observing this unusual action from the enemy. The incompetent action of both the warriors made Rajvardhan and King Vishwar, who were sitting on their thrones in the battlefield, standing at the checkpoint.
The lights of the sky were switched off. Every soul thought that the battle between Megha and Sudarshan was over. But the King Vishvara began worrying about Megha. Suddenly, King Visvara remembered what Chitraketu had said, "There is no one on earth who has the power to defeat Sudarsana." Then a question came to his mind that, after all, who is Sudarshan ?
