🐾 Oreo’s Lodhi Garden Adventure
Today was one of those unforgettable days with Oreo — the kind that starts normal and ends in chaos, laughter, and a little bit of panic. I decided to take him to Lodhi Garden for a walk, and honestly, I thought it would just be a calm, fun outing. Little did I know, Oreo had other plans.
The moment we got there, he was like a little whirlwind, sniffing every corner, running around, and dragging me along. I was trying to keep up, laughing, and at the same time watching my step because the garden paths were slightly wet from the morning dew. Of course, I almost slipped a couple of times, feeling that classic “oh no” panic, but somehow managed to stay on my feet.
Then came the big moment. Oreo, of course, decided he was the king of the garden. He spotted the pond, and before I could react, he ran straight into it. I swear, he looked so proud of himself — and completely fearless. There were ducks swimming around, and Oreo just joined them, splashing everywhere, wagging his tail like it was the most normal thing in the world. I panicked at first, shouting his name, but he seemed to be having the time of his life.
Once he finally got out, we noticed his fur was all muddy, and he had been scratching a little because of his skin infection. I quickly cleaned him up, but the little rascal didn’t seem to mind — he was too happy from his “swimming adventure.” Despite the worry and the chaos, I couldn’t help but laugh at how bold and mischievous he was.
Walking back, Oreo trotted beside me, looking all innocent and proud, as if nothing had happened. I kept thinking about how unpredictable pets can be, how they make ordinary days feel like adventures, and how much joy they bring, even when they almost give you heart attacks.
By the time we got home, I was tired, Oreo was dripping wet, and my nerves were still recovering from the pond incident, but it was completely worth it. Days like this remind me why I love having Oreo around — for the chaos, the love, the laughter, and the little moments that turn into memories you’ll never forget.
