ગમતીલાને તેઓ આપણા માટે શું છે એ ચોક્કસ કહેવું જોઈએ. તમને ખબર છે સમયસર ઉપયોગમાં લેવાતા શબ્દો ટોનિકનું કામ પણ કરી જાણે છે? હજી સુધી ન કહ્યું હોય તો આજે જ કહી દેજો.

તું જ આશ, તું જ શ્વાસ;

ભીતર છતાં તું આસપાસ.

મનનો સમુદ્ર ઊંડો ઘણો,

ઊંડાઈનો ક્યાં કોઈ ક્યાસ?

કદી રાધા હું; કદી કૃષ્ણ તું,

સદીઓથી આપણ રચીએ રાસ.

માગું તને; ચાહું તને,

ક્ષુધા તું ને તું જ પ્યાસ.

તારું જ ગ્રહણ; તને જ અર્પણ,

મુજ આશા, આસ્થા ને વિશ્વાસ.

તું જ આશ, તું જ શ્વાસ; 

ભીતર છતાં તું આસપાસ.

નજરોનાં હરણાં
---------------------
નજરોનાં હરણાં કદી-કદી તો તને શોધવા આવે છે

એ તો કહે, તને કેમ શહેરોનાં વગડા ફાવે છે?

લાગણીઓથી છલી પડેલા સરોવરો પર,

મર્યાદાનાં પાળા ભલેને ચણાઈ ગયા;

તારા નામે કાંકરીચાળો કોઈ કરે તો,

યાદોનાં વારિ નયન હજી છલકાવે છે! એ તો કહે…

નથી હવે એ આમ્રકુંજ ના બાગ-બગીચા,

મુરજાયેલી ભાવના સુકી ભઠ્ઠ ભલે ને;

વિરહનાં તાપે ખરી રહેલી કોમળ કળીઓ,

નામ સાંભળી તારું, મોં મલકાવે છે! એ તો કહે…

તારા સાથની આશનાં વાદળ આઘા છો ને,

કુરંગ નજરોનાં જરા એમ તો જીદ્દીલા છે;

વિછોહી મનનાં દુઝી રહેલા ઘા ને કોરી,

ખુદનાં શોણે મનની પ્યાસ બુઝાવે છે! એ તો કહે…

તને શોધતાં હરણાંઓની ઇહા ફળે ને,

વગડે ભમતા તારો કદીએ સાથ મળે તો;

કંટક વચ્ચે ગુલછડી કેરી આરત સાથે,

હજુ તો હરણાં વિષાદને હંફાવે છે!

હવે તો કહે, તને કેમ શહેરોનાં વગડા ફાવે છે?
