🌸 The Last Letter
Part 2 – The Deepening Mystery
Aisha couldn’t stop thinking about Armaan. His calm smile, gentle voice, and mysterious eyes haunted her thoughts. But the warning from the last letter kept repeating in her mind:
“If you want to live, don’t fall in love with him.”
She tried to ignore it, but every time she looked at him, her heart betrayed her. She didn’t know whether to trust her feelings… or the letters.
---
The next morning at college, Aisha noticed Armaan standing near the library. He was looking at her, but as soon as their eyes met, he quickly looked away. Her heart skipped. Was he… aware of her noticing him?
During class, a strange feeling crept in. Every small coincidence seemed suspicious. Her bag, which she always kept close, had a faint scratch she hadn’t noticed before. A cold shiver ran down her spine. Could someone be watching her? The letters, she realized, might not be just warnings—they could be protective, even from someone nearby.
That evening, as she walked home through the narrow streets, a new envelope appeared in her bag. Her hands shook as she opened it:
“Tomorrow, someone you trust will lie to you.”
Aisha’s mind immediately went to Nisha, her former best friend. But she pushed the thought away. She didn’t want to live in constant fear. Yet, the letters had always been right before.

At home, she tried to focus on her studies, but the memory of Armaan lingered. Later that night, she heard a soft knock on the window. Her heart jumped. Carefully, she peeked outside—Armaan was standing there, drenched from the rain, a small umbrella in hand.
“Hi, I hope I’m not disturbing you,” he said, his voice gentle but urgent. “I noticed you seemed worried today. Can I help?”
Aisha’s mind raced. Should I trust him? Or is this a trap? Her hand trembled as she took the umbrella.
As they walked under the soft glow of the streetlights, Armaan said quietly, “I feel like someone is watching you… and it’s not safe.”
Aisha’s eyes widened. The letters. Could he know about them? Her heart pounded in fear and curiosity.
---
The next day in class, Aisha noticed something unusual. Armaan was staring at a notebook she had left on the table the previous day. Inside it, she had scribbled small notes from the letters. How did he know? She approached him cautiously.
“Armaan… do you know about these?” she asked, pointing to the notes.
He hesitated, then lowered his voice. “I… I’ve seen someone sending these letters before. I think I know who it is, but I’m not sure yet. It’s complicated.”
Her heart raced. Could Armaan be on her side? Or was he part of the mystery? The fear from the letters and the pull of her feelings clashed inside her.
---
That evening, as she returned home, her phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number:
“Do not trust him completely. Your life depends on it.”
Aisha froze. The letters. The texts. Armaan. Her head was spinning. Who could she trust? Every step felt dangerous.
She opened her diary and reread the first letter:
“Don’t take the 7:30 bus tomorrow.”
Every word had been true. Every warning had saved her. But now, the lines between friend and danger were blurred.
