Chasing butterflies …….

(A spicy hot romantic and suspense thriller)

By

Kotra Siva Rama Krishna

“I too felt just like you there.” Susmitha said.

“Have you seen everything in the fields?” with a frown Sukanya asked.

“No. we did go only into that tope. I was intended to see all the other fields etcetera too but in the meanwhile it had happened like that.” Going near to the wall and leaning on that Susmitha said.  “I had seen Mamatha there and everything relating to that I said to you.”

“So you did not go into the farm house in that tope.” Sukanya’s looks did not leave Susmitha.

“I had seen it from a distance and intended to go into that as well. But Madan was more interested to spend time only in that tope especially under that mango tree.”

“I know his tastes. He does like that.” The wrinkle which occurred on her cheek while laughing made Sukanya even more beautiful.

“It seems you also have spent a lot of time in that tope.” Observing her carefully Susmitha said. “Or in that guest house?”

“I spent all the time in the fields in fact.” Sukanya got off from the bed and went near to a chair and burdened it with her weight. “I like the fields and mango tope a lot. It is indeed eight years or so back that I have seen all those.” The pleasure she was enjoyed then was reflecting in her face even now too.

“I have spent all my life in a metropolitan city. I never saw these types of places before and there was no particular desire in me to see places like these either, since I have no knowledge at all. But after I have seen that tope and green fields, really all those are quite fascinating!” Susmitha was like a child then. Her face was beaming with pleasure.

“From now on you are going to enjoy all these.” Sukanya paused for a moment and then asked “What are your future plans?”

“I am not particularly planning for anything. All my properties and assets would come to me after I have entered into my twenty second year and got married. There is only twenty five days away from now. I want my marriage with Madan to be performed as soon as possible after my twenty second birthday. That gives a full solution to my problem forever” Susmitha said with happiness in her face

“Madan told me everything about you. You are right, that is the perfect solution to your problem.” Sukanya also smiled.

“You are right. But……” Susmitha’s forehead frownd.

“I can understand. You are feeling quite insecure. You can get that security by marrying Madan.”

“You are a psychologist. You can read the minds like that. Really that is the situation.”

“No particular skill is necessary to do this. A little commonsense is enough to guess this much.” Putting her both hands in her lap Sukanya said.

“Yes. A little common sense is enough to guess many a thing. I have guessed an important thing like that regarding you too. May I tell?” Susmitha tauntingly asked.

“Oh, sure. Please tell.” Sukanya asked interestingly. What Susmitha was going to say? Her mind started thinking and to some extent she could guess what she was going to say.

“You are showing special interest in Vineet. If I am not wrong you are in love with him.” with a frown on her forehead Susmitha said.

Sukanya slitted her eyes and smiled. “You know psychology better than me too. What you have said is absolutely true.” She said admiringly. “But it is amazing! I did not talk with him much here at all.  How can you guess that?”

“The little time you have spent and the few words you have talked with him said to me everything.” Susmitha adjusted herself on the bed to more comfortability. “Eyes convey a lot. And your facial expression concealed nothing then.”

“I agree with you.” Sukanya nodded her head. “In fact I did not want to conceal anything from any one. I have not said this even to Vineet upto now but I am saying to you. I am in love with him. Deeply in love with him.”

Susmitha surprised as Sukanya said that as just a matter of fact. “But that Vineet is not appearing to me as much educated. You are a post graduate in psychology.”

“I did not expect that you do talk like this at all.” there were traces of irritation in Sukanya’s face. “You too are in love with Madan. Tell me would love require education, wealth or looks to get borne?”

“I am sorry. You are right. I did not think deeply at all.” feeling guilty as she had asked her so Susmitha said.

“Alright. No problem.” Sukanya nodded her head and said. “Are you thinking that I myself, intently fallen in love with Vineet? For a long time back itself, I don’t know why, I have started being attracted towards Vineet. To my logical and reasoning mind, I have no fascination and no special interest on him. I know what he is. But to my heart, there is no logic or reason. I could not understand why it was going that forcibly towards Vineet and tried to pull it back. My mind did not like what my heart was doing. It tried its level best to reverse the process and to save my heart from its whims. But for the first time I came to know that heart is more powerful than the mind.” Sukanya paused, breathed deeply and relaxed. “There are several books, researches and studies to understand mind. But there is nothing to analyze the heart. It is an ocean. No one can see the depth of it.”

Susmitha was listening attentively as the subject was new and interesting to her.  With wrinkles on the forehead she was appearing strange and beautiful to Susmitha and she thought that Vineet was indeed quite luckier to get the love of Sukanya. But seeing the small smile on the lips of Susmitha, Sukanya had thought that Susmitha was not taking seriously whatever she was saying to her.

“You are feeling silly of my feelings and impressions, are not you? Your small smile however charming it is on your lips telling me about that.” Irritating herself Sukanya said.

“You don’t know one thing.” Mocking seriousness Susmitha said.

“Tell me fast. Don’t maintain suspense.” Still the irritation was dominant in her face.

“Irritation and anger make you even more beautiful!” Let out a full smile on her lips Susmitha said.

“I am not going to talk if you are like this.” Sukanya made her face serious.

Susmitha came near to Sukanya and sat beside her in the other chair before placing her right hand on her right shoulder. “Sorry.” She said. “I just said what I really felt. You are really beautiful. Vineet is indeed fortunate. He got the love of a beautiful girl like you. I don’t know how do you take what I have said to you. But I have said just what I really felt.”

The seriousness in her face and tone really influenced Sukanya. “I don’t know what to say to you.” Taking Susmitha’s hand into her’s, Sukanya said.

“Now we shall consider the lecture you just gave to me.” Settling herself comfortably where she sat Susmitha said. “I smiled while you were saying that. Why did I smile like that I cannot say but what you have said is really noteworthy. Yes, no one can know the depth of heart. Heart does not calculate, it would not see profit and loss but it does have lot of influence on us than the mind.”

“So you are agreeing with my theory?” Sukanya’s eyes sparkled, listening admiration from Susmitha so.

“You are a talented psychologist. You have understood the heart more than the mind.” The admiration in Susmitha’s eyes was still continuing.

“No. I don’t understand the heart.  It is still an enigma to me. Otherwise why do I love Vineet while my mind is not agreeing with it at all? Why cannot I change my heart from him? It is not easier to make my mother agree for my marriage with him. But still I just cannot forget him.” helplessly closing her eyes Sukanya said.

“Your heart is not at mistake.” in a firm voice Susmitha said. “He may not have much education, intelligence or wealth. But he has character. He is an outstanding personality.”

Sukanya snapped open her eyes and looked at Susmitha. “What you are saying?”

“Don’t try to change your heart. It is going on a right course. At the first time itself when I have seen him I have realized that. Vineet is a good boy.” She paused for a moment and then said. “I am not a psychologist like you. But I can understand people looking at them for few seconds. I felt a little hostility towards you immediately after I have seen you. But then my eyes probed you deep and my heart told me the truth. You are as well, as good as Vineet. You both have character and made to each other.”

Sukanya stooped forward and kissed on the cheek of Susmitha. “You have cleared the confusion which is killing me. So in your opinion what I am doing is the right thing.”

“This is the more and more right thing than the other right things you have done so far. It would be a big mistake if you divert your heart from Vineet to anyone else.”

“These games are quite interesting to us, are not they?” looking into the face of Madan, Mamatha asked him.

“Yes, these games are very much interesting.” Madan said. “But it would be even more nice if Vineet and Madhuri also with us.”

“But why they both of them with us? I just want only you with me all the time.” Looking straight into the face of Madan, Mamatha said.

“Why it is so? They both are very good. We are always enjoying playing together.” With a confusing expression in his face, Madan said.

Mamatha took his hand into hers and kissed on that. “I cannot explain why it is so. But it is just like that. I just don’t want anyone else with us. I want only you with me always.” With firmness in her voice she said.

Mamatha was aged just ten years or so at that time but expressed her feeling so strong! She did love him that fiercely even at that tender age itself and why could not he understand her? Why never any love feeling emanated in his heart towards her? Even he never has shown any love towards her or expressed her towards her, why that furiously she always loved him so? His heart was breaking into two while thinking so.

“Why Madan? What happened to you? Why you are becoming like this?” putting his hand on his shoulder and shaking it forcibly Vineet asked.

“Nothing, in fact.” Nodding his head helplessly Madan said.

“Don’t try to hide things from me. I am not just a relative but a close friend to you. I can say that you are suffering very much for something. Tell me about that and sure I shall try to help you.” Looking into the eyes of Madan, Vineet said.

Madan stared straight a minute into the eyes of Vineet. There was innocence and straightforwardness in his eyes as usual. “You need not tell me about that. I know.” Removing his hand off from his shoulder Madan said with a weak voice. “Have you heard anything about Mamatha?”

“No. No one knows where she is and what happened to her.” scrutinizing the face of Madan did not reveal anything to him.
