Chasing butterflies …….

(A spicy hot romantic and suspense thriller)

By

Kotra Siva Rama Krishna

Vineet held his hand tightly and stopped him. “He already warned us not to interfere whatever he may do.”  Vineet reminded him.

Madan was watching helplessly as the exorcist beating Susmitha without any discrimination with the neem branches in his hand. At some places her white body split with those beatings and blood was started oozing.

“Yes. Stop. I have come.” Suddenly Susmitha roared.

Everyone there stunned finding the difference in Susmitha. “What do you want?” she asked him angrily.

“You must leave this body and go away.” The exorcist said to her.

“Who are you to say that to me?” Susmitha once again roared.

“I am an exorcist. I can seal you in a bottle and through you into a sea if you don’t listen to me.”

“No. I would not leave this body at all.” Susmitha said. “It is the only way to me to keep myself near to my lover.”

“If you don’t listen to me I shall surely get you sealed in a bottle and threw that bottle in the middle of the sea.” The exorcist warned her once again.

“You cannot do anything to me.” Susmitha said angrily.

“Would you see what I can do?” the exorcist took a bottle and a book from his bag.

“I never allow you to do that.” Susmitha jumped on to him and tried to snatch the book and bottle from him.

“You people come and hold her tightly.” The exorcist yelled.

Then Vineet, Madan and Sukanya fastly went to Susmitha and hold her tightly to the chair.

Then the exorcist beat Susmitha once again with the neem branches in his hand unstopping for sometime.

“Stop…. Stop this… first get the devil into that bottle.” Madan yelled to him. He just could not tolerate at all while Susmitha was being beat like that.

“I never have seen a devil like this. All the devils used to feel fear and flew away from the body even before my fist beat on the subject’s body. But this devil is a different thing.” Squatting himself near to them the exorcist said.

Then he started saying some spells and while he was saying those spells Susmitha violently moved in their grip and tried to free herself. Vineet, Madan and Sukanya had to use their whole strength to make Susmitha immovable.

Suddenly the movement in Susmitha was stopped and the exorcist put the cork to the bottle. “I have got the devil in this bottle now. I shall throw it into middle of the sea. This devil cannot come out for another hundred years. You people feel happy.” Putting that bottle into his bag he said.

Susmitha swooned in the hands of Vineet, Sukanya and Madan. They took her carefully on to the bed and laid her on it. She was whimpering with a small and slow voice. Then Madan and Vineet came out leaving Sukanya and Susmitha in that room.

Madan then looked at Vineet and asked him how much had to be paid to that exorcist. Vineet said the figure and Madan extracted some notes from his purse and put that amount in exorcist’s hands. His face beamed with happiness and left that place immediately.

“How you are feeling now?” taking Susmitha’s head into his hands Madan asked her.

“Terrible” she replied in a feeble voice.

Sukanya started anointing the wounds on the body of Susmitha with an ointment. “First thing we should not have agreed to that at all. See how he beat her.” with a frown Sukanya said. She could not bear her dear friend tortured like that.

“Yes what you have said is true. I should not have agreed to this in fact. I am so sorry Susmitha.” Looking into her eyes Madan said.

“I have become free of that devil. That is enough.” Wincing with pain while Sukanya was applying the ointment Susmitha said.

“Are you sure that devil has gone out of your body?” Madan asked her knitting his brows together.

“I am thinking so.” Susmitha said.

“Let her take rest Madan. Don’t pester her with questions. Better we all go out now.” Vineet said.

“She must eat something. It is lunch time. I shall take some food for Susmitha to here itself. After she has taken the food I shall be with her here itself. I would not go anywhere at all.” Sukanya said. Her eyes were glistening with wetness. She was controlling her tears with effort.

“What a good friend I have got.” Susmitha with a smile said. “But I am not feeling hungry at all.”

“It has nothing to do with your hunger. I am going to take food and you must eat that.” Moving away from there Susmitha said.

“I shall go into the fields in the afternoon.” Vineet said.

“Sure you do. I shall see if I can manage to come there in the evening.” Madan said.

“Oh, sis. What you are doing now?” coming into the kitchen Sukanya asked Jayanthi. She went straight and sat in the chair near the dining table. Jayanthi as usual was busy in preparing some dishes at gas stove.

“Don’t you know what your sis would do in the kitchen? I am preparing dinner to you all the people.” Without looking back Jayanthi said.

“What are the specials of this day?”

“Fish soup. I think you like it a lot.”

“Of course, but it needs to be cooked in my way not yours.” Left the chair and went near to her sister Sukanya said.

“I cannot to do things in the way you want.” Jayanthi irritatingly said. Her sister’s particular way of liking and preferring things was not much liking to her.

“Then why did not you have asked me to do that? I would have prepared them quite nice.”

Jayanthi looked angrily into Sukanya’s eyes. “I too can cook delicious. No one ever in this house said my cooking is not good.”

Sukanya laughed and put her hands around her neck. “Who said that you don’t cook good? You are so excellent at cooking. You just can’t cook modernly.” She said.

“Stop behaving like a child and go away. I am not going to be yielded to your flattering.” Relinquishing her hands from around her neck Jayanthi said.

Sukanya kissed on her sister’s left cheek and went to the same chair and sat in it.

“I have heard something from mother about you and Vineet, is it is true?” Switching off the stove, coming near to Sukanya and sat in the other nearby chair Jayanthi asked.

“Yes, it is true.” Sukanya lowered her eyelids. “I am sorry. I did not tell you about this until now.”

“I cannot believe this at all!” Jayanthi said. “How did you fell in love with him?”

“That is what not understandable even to me too. I have tried a lot not to be attracted towards Vineet. But I could not. My heart did not agree to the detachment from him which I tried. So I have to agree for the attachment it aspired.” After saying this she perched her head and looked into Jayanthi’s eyes. Her sister’s face was impasse.

“I am feeling fear.” Jayanthi said.

“For what?” Sukanya frowned.

“It seems that you are in love with him under an impulse or under an unknown urge in you. What if you stop loving him after few days?”

“Oh, sis! That never shall happen. My love is not like that and I can say that for sure. Until my last breath I stick only to Vineet. Don’t feel fear for your dearest Vineet.” Sukanya laughed and said.

Jayanthi nodded her head. There was satisfaction in her eyes as she believed Sukanya’s words.

“I still cannot understand why Vineet has become such a dear boy to you people.” Sukanya said.

“He was a very small boy when he entered into this house with his mother. At his very childhood itself his mother died.” Jayanthi paused. Her mind was bringing the old memories back. “Madan and Vineet both are of the same age almost. Vineet used to do all the work, all the help we want. Still he is doing like that. He never says a ‘no’ to whatever we have said to him. He suffered a lot for our welfare. He suffered a lot for our development. He never has thought about himself. Just like Madan, he is like a son to me. What is the surprise if a son becomes a dear boy to her mother?”

“Now I can understand fully.” Sukanya could see the light water layer in her sister’s eyes.

“When I have heard the news that you are in love with Vineet, I felt really very happy. You are going to be the perfect asset to him than the property your brother in law would give to him. Try to make him as much happier as possible all the time. He sure deserves that.”

“I sure do as you wish, sister. Don’t doubt me at all.” there was unmistakable genuineness in the voice of Sukanya.

There was silence between them both then.

“There is something quite characteristic in Vineet. That is his childlike nature and sincerity. That is what strongly attracted me towards him I think. I sure shall be quite happier with him and I shall make him even more happy. Just believe me.” Taking her sister’s right hand into hers hands and squeezing it gently Sukanya said.

“I hundred percent believe your words. I know your character very well. Once you have taken a decision you would stick to that hundred percent.”

There was silence once again between them.

“It seems you have recovered completely.” Sitting on the bed beside her Madan said with Susmitha. He was almost touching her and enjoying the fragrance from her.

“Is it is not better that you go into the chair there? It is not better that we both sit touching like this. We have not married yet. Please don’t forget.” Looking into the eyes of Madan, Susmitha said.

“Suddenly now you have remembered that we have not got married, ah. Where did this sense go when we hugged each other, planted kisses, enjoyed the proximity…”

“Please stop.” Putting her finger on his lips Susmitha said. “Just because we did before like that we need not continue the same. Maintain distance my dear.”

“No. I cannot.” He groaned.

“Atleast go and close the doors. If anyone enter into our room it would not appear proper.”

“No one does enter into this room now. Vineet went into the fields. Sukanya went somewhere into the village with her mother. Annayya and Vadina sleeping peacefully.”  It was afternoon 3.00 p.m.

She did not say anything but was observing him so. He approached slowly towards her and put his hands around her. He took off the sari out from her body and threw it down. There was no resistance at all from her but she asked “What you are going to do now? Are we going to finish that as well before marriage?”

“No, we are not going to that extreme. We just enjoy some hugs and kisses.” Kissing on the back side of her left ear he said. It was just automatic and unintentional kiss. That gold color skin there was quit luring to him and it felt quite smooth to his lips. He had bitten the skin there lightly.

“Oh, don’t bite me like that. It hurts.” Hugging him strongly with both her hands Susmitha said.
