The World of Remedies
Everywhere the world is selling remedies.
“Chant this mantra, take this course, adopt this technique, read this book.”
All promising the same — solution and success.
But every remedy is bound by time.
What works today, may fail tomorrow.
That’s why remedies are worldly — not truly spiritual.
Yes, up to a point, remedies are useful.
Until a person awakens to the Unknown,
education, science, and practice serve as support.
They are means — but never the destination.
The path of liberation begins beyond remedies.
Where remedies drop, the doorway to the Self and the Void opens.
Spiritual freedom is never through any method or technique,
but through that moment when no method is needed anymore.
Sutra
“Remedies exist only where ignorance exists.
Where awakening is, remedies are not.
Science and learning are means—
but liberation is the path of emptiness.”
The Gita teaches the same: Krishna again and again explains that karma, yoga, devotion are tools, but the final refuge is only in the Self.
Buddha also said the same: meditation and discipline are like a boat; once you cross the river, even the boat must be left behind.
Osho reminded in modern words: “Techniques are only ladders; freedom begins when even the ladder is gone.”
Every tradition — Vedanta, Buddha, or modern meditation — accepts this: remedies are limited, and liberation is beyond them.
Remedies are not wrong; they are needed while ignorance remains.
But the one who mistakes the remedy for the Truth, remains stuck there.
